The day you were born was an amazing day for God to bring you here with his angels to earth. Your mommy called me and said you were coming today and I could come to the hospital. I rushed as fast as I could and as your daddy went into the surgical room, you were ready to be born! The rest of us had to wait in the hallway ( we all said a prayer that you would be protected and safe) so the doctor and his nurses could attend to the miracle of you ... a perfect baby girl with ten fingers, ten toes and every part of you perfect. A baby who looked just like her father, who even slept like him, with her tiny sweet mouth open and he, with his mouth open.
You were not quite ready to go home and you were kept in the hospital to warm up and get heat from an incubator. I was able to go to the waiting room the next day hoping you were still just fine. I showed photos to your grandmother Spence while we waited. I tried to learn who she was and wanted to hold you in my arms. Finally my chance came to hold your tiny precious body in my arms. You snuggled and cooed and my heart opened to a sweet darling child.
I love you forever and ever....
